Max is a character in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. Max works as an orderly at the Westin Hills Psychiatric Hospital.

Dream Warriors[]

Max, like other fellow staff members (particularly Neil and Nancy), cares deeply about the teenagers in the asylum. Despite being kindhearted, Max is also very obedient when it comes to following orders given to him.

In the film, Max is an orderly working at Westin Hills. Max's first appearance in the film is when he is ordered to sedate an unruly Kristen, but is cut on the arm with a scalpel. He also shows Nancy around the asylum on her first day, where he introduces her to Phillip and Kincaid. Max catches Jennifer watching TV past curfew. When she refuses to go to sleep because of the nightmares, she begs Max to allow her to stay up. Max agrees to let her stay up, telling Jennifer that the condition is that if she is caught, she must not mention that he was there. Max also discovers Jennifer's body with her head inside of the TV screen seconds after her death.

Near the end of the film, Max blocks off the quiet room from Nancy (as he was given orders by Elizabeth Simms to not let anyone near her). Max indicates that he is doing this because he cares about children. However, he does allow Nancy five minutes to say her goodbyes to Taryn, Will, and Kincaid.
